The Art of Listening
After occupational therapy on Wednesday, Piper asked me to pass her lunch box so she could eat her apple slices. I explained her teachers must have thrown them away at lunch because her lunch box was empty. She was really upset with her teachers. I asked Piper if perhaps she threw away her apples and she said "No, my teachers did". I wrote down her thoughts as she babbled in the back seat. I love how she is learning to use her language to express her feelingss instead of anger.
"My heart doesn't love them when they do that.
I don't love it.
I think they need to think in their brain first
and probably think how they hurt my heart.
I really get bad days
I think I'm sorry - it's just does this
When they think in their mind
They think ceptable (acceptable) one time
then they going to be thinking about me.
Sorry they frowed (throwed) my apples away
I actually think I did that
I didn't think about it first.
I think about my teachers
and Mommy writes it down
and explains it to me
why I have a bad day.
I get very tired thinking about it.
They do what it is
5, 5, 5, five times
Terribly is bad
Think about that, they should read what Mommy is writing."
Peace and Bunny Ears,
Aimee
